    Este artículo da a conocer 15 estelas inéditas, descubiertas recientemente en el NO de la provincia de Burgos. Todas ellas tienen una inscripción grabada y son de cronología reciente. Fueron labradas entre finales del siglo XVIII y mediados del XX aunque la mayoría pertenecen a la XIX centuria. Frente a estos rasgos comunes, existe una amplia diversidad tipológica, a pesar del predominio de los tipos discoideos y tabulares, y una diversidad funcional que da preferencia a la señalización del lugar de la muerte casual de una persona en descampado aunque también pueden señalar el lugar de enterramiento, la localización de un cementerio o un cruce de caminos.

    In this article you can find fifteen completely new steles which were discovered in the north-west of the province of Burgos. All of them have got a recent chronology and inscription. They were carved between the 18th century and the middle of the 20th century, although most of them belong to the 19th century. In contrast of the common features there is a wide typological diversity (in spite of the fact that there was a predominance of the tabular and diskshaped types) and a functional diversity which focuses on the markings of the chance place of a person’s death which took place in an open space through, on the other hand they can also signpost either the burial place, or the location of a graveyard or a crossroads.

    Artikulu honetan, Burgosko probintziaren ipar-mendebaldean duela denbora gutxi aurkitu diren 15 hilarri berri ezagutarazten dira. Hilarri horiek guztiok inskripzio bat dute grabaturik eta duela gizaldi gutxi egindakoak dira. XVIII. mendetik XX. mendearen erdialdera landutako hilarriak dira; horietako gehienak, baina, XIX. gizaldikoak dira. Ezaugarri komunak badituzte ere, tipologia anitzeko hilarriak aurki ditzakegu, nahiz eta gehienak disko-formako eta taula-formako hilarriak izan. Halaber, funtzio askotako harriak ere badira, baina pertsona bat eremuren batean ustekabean hiltzen den tokia seinalatzea lehenesten da harri horietan batik bat; hala ere, hilobiratze-lekua, hilerriren baten kokagunea edo bidegurutzeren bat ere seinala dezakete.
