    La cooperación transfronteriza promueve la creación de actividades y el desarrollo de territorios que hasta el año 1992 estaban separados por fronteras estatales pero que a partir de la entrada del mercado único europeo y la desmantelación de las ¿mugas¿ se encontraron en una situación novedosa. La iniciativa comunitaria Interreg surgió con el objetivo de promover y colaborar en esta cooperación y a lo largo de sus tres fases de actividad ha incidido de forma diferente en proyectos transfronterizos que se han realizado en el País Vasco y de forma particular en el espacio donde se dan estas actuaciones de forma más natural, en la zona de Bidasoa-Txingudi.

    Crossborders cooperation promotes the foundation of new activities and the development of chose to each other territories. These territories were dislinked till 1992, when the common market was finally established. The common market set up the shrinky up of on former times strict borders. European institution¿s Interreg iniciative emerged aimed to achieve a concrete goal. Promotion of crossborder cooperation amoung politially separated trritorial entities. Interreg has affected in rather different ways the crossborder project that have taken place in Basque Country. We also would like to stress the experinece of the Bidasoa-Txingudi area, the most relevant area where the cooperation amoung politically interwined territorial entities take place.

    Mugaz gaindiko lankidetzak, 1992. urteko europear merkatu bakarraren irekiera eta estatuen arteko mugen ezabaketaren ondorioz, egoera ezberdin eta berri batean aurkitu ziren lurraldeetan jardueren sorrera eta gune hauen garapena bultzatzen du. Interreg ekimen komunitarioak lankidetza hau lagundu eta bultzatzeko helburuarekin sortu zen eta bere hiru jarduera fase ezberdinetan zehar Euskal Herrian, eta bereziki Bidasoa-Txingudi aldean, garatu diren mugaz gaindiko zenbait proiektuetan eragin ezberdina izan du.
