    En la actualidad el Virus de la Inmunodeficiencia Humana (VIH) sigue siendo uno de los problemas en salud pública; según la Organización Mundial de la Salud (OMS) en este último año se ha cobrado la vida de 32, 9 a 51,3 millones de vidas con una media de 40,4 a nivel mundial. Asimismo, se estima que para el año 2025 el 95 % de las personas que tienen VIH deberían haber recibido un diagnóstico, así como también el 95 % deberían estar con tratamiento retroviral y el 95 % debieron lograr suprimir su carga viral.

    Currently, the Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) continues to be one of the public health problems; according to the World Health Organization (WHO), in the last year it has claimed the lives of 32.9 to 51.3 million people with an average of 40.4 million lives worldwide. It is estimated that by 2025, 95% of people with HIV should have been diagnosed, 95% should be on retroviral treatment and 95% should be able to suppress their viral load.
