Byung-Chul Han plantea que neoliberalismo opera de modo que los sujetos constituidos dentro de su marco de acciones se explotan libremente a sí mismos. Así, plantea una diferencia entre la forma de poder contemporánea, basada en la positividad, y las del pasado, basadas en la negatividad del castigo y la coerción. Sin embargo, ¿es así? En este artículo se planteará que Han omite el papel de la negatividad en el neoliberalismo: desde su dimensión punitiva a su fondo de precariedad. Su esquema dialéctico, en exceso binomial, pasa por alto el papel constitutivo de la negatividad, su papel irreductible.

Byung-Chul Han argues that neoliberalism operates in such a way that the subjects constituted within its framework of actions freely exploit themselves. He thus posits a difference between the contemporary form of power, based on positivity, and those of the past, based on the negativity of punishment and coercion. However, is this the case? This article will argue that Han omits the role of negativity in neoliberalism: from its punitive dimension to its background of precarity.
