Este artículo explora la interacción entre biología, tecnología y cultura a través del análisis de la serie de ciencia ficción The Expanse. Basado en un marco teórico fundamentado en la coevolución tecnológica-biológica, inspirado en los planteamientos de Cornejo (2017), el estudio examina cómo las dinámicas adaptativas se manifiestan en un futuro interplanetario. A través de cinco ejes, se abordan temas como las desigualdades estructurales, la redefinición de la identidad humana y los límites éticos de la intervención tecnológica. La narrativa de The Expanse no solo ilustra estas tensiones, sino que también invita a reflexionar sobre los desafíos de un horizonte posthumano. Este enfoque permite comprender cómo la ciencia ficción articula críticas profundas sobre nuestra evolución biotecnológica.

This article explores the interplay between biology, technology, and culture through the analysis of the science fiction series The Expanse. Grounded in a theoretical framework based on the coevolution of technology and biology, inspired by Cornejo's (2017) propositions, the study examines how adaptive dynamics manifest in an interplanetary future. Through five axes, it addresses themes such as structural inequalities, the redefinition of human identity, and the ethical limits of technological intervention. The Expanse not only illustrates these tensions but also invites reflection on the challenges of a posthuman horizon. This approach provides insights into how science fiction articulates profound critiques of our biotechnological evolution.
