"Enverdecer" La economía ¿es la solución?

    Uno de los temas recurrentes en estos días  de realización de las negociaciones con motivo de la COP20 en nuestro país es el de la Economía Verde, idea que viene siendo levantada por diversos sectores como la solución a los problemas ambientales y como la base para afrontar el cambio climático a nivel global. Sin embargo, esta no es una propuesta nueva que se haya creado con motivo de la vigésima conferencia de partes de la Convención Marco de las Naciones Unidas sobre Cambio Climático, pero tampoco se conoce mucho sobre qué es lo que se busca con ella y cómo se implementaría.  Si bien el color verde nos conecta automáticamente con la actitud de los seres humanos frente al cuidado del ambiente y los recursos naturales, también podría hacer referencia al color de la moneda estadounidense, y es justo en este aspecto donde se centran las críticas de los sectores de sociedad civil que ven a la economía verde como la continuidad del sistema actual y, por lo tanto, no constituiría una solución verdadera al problema global.

    One of the recurring themes in these days of negotiations for the COP20 in our country is the Green Economy, an idea that has been raised by various sectors as the solution to environmental problems and as the basis for tackling climate change at a global level. However, this is not a new proposal that has been created on the occasion of the twentieth conference of parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, but neither is much known about what is sought with it and how it would be implemented. Although the color green automatically connects us with the attitude of human beings towards the care of the environment and natural resources, it could also refer to the color of the US currency, and it is precisely in this aspect where the criticism of civil society sectors that see the green economy as the continuity of the current system and, therefore, would not constitute a real solution to the global problem is focused.
