    Nuevos escritores mexicanos del siglo XX presentados por sí mismos” fue un proyecto editorial emprendido entre 1966 y 1968 por Rafael Giménez Siles y Emmanuel Carballo, quienes supieron reconocer en la autobiografía un instrumento ideal para forjar la imagen de algunos escritores en aras de un interés público naciente. Esta serie, que convocó a once jóvenes escritores (menores de 35 años) para que escribieran su autobiografía, revela su importancia no sólo por el lugar que ocupan los textos aislados dentro de la obra de sus autores, sino también como un hito dentro de la tradición autobiográfica mexicana.

    New Twentieth Century Mexican Writers Introduced by Themselves was an editorial project developed between 1966 and 1968 by Rafael Giménez Siles and Emmanuel Carballo, who recognized in autobio graphy an ideal instrument to build the image of certain writers in view of an emerging interest from the reading public. This collection, which called upon eleven young writers (under 35 years of age) to write their autobiography, is important not only because of the role that the individual texts occupy in the work of these authors, but also as a milestone in the Mexican autobiographical tradition.
