    En El Paseo Ahumada (1983) de Enrique Lihn se observa la aparición de sujetos flâneur y mendigos que deambulan como figuras fantasmales en esta nueva arteria levantada como epicentro del mercado comercial y bursátil del país, ejemplo del modelo neoliberal instaurado en la dictadura. En la obra estos sujetos confluyen con banqueros y transeúntes que circulan azarosamente por el mismo escenario, pero sus interacciones son mediadas o evitadas. Como un flâneur callejero, la voz poética elabora un registro escrito y visual del espectáculo que brinda el paseo en el que circulan sujetos en desiguales condiciones lo que pone de manifiesto la presencia perturbadora y fantasmal de los mendicantes.

    In El Paseo Ahumada (1983) by Enrique Lihn, we observe the appearance of flâneur subjects and beggars who wander like ghostly figures in this new artery built as the epicenter of the country’s commercial and stock market, an example of the neo-liberal model established during the dictatorship. In the work these subjects converge with bankers and passers-by who circulate randomly through the same scene, but their interactions are mediated or avoided. Like a street flâneur, the poetic voice creates a written and visual record of the spectacle provided by the walk in which subjects circulate in unequal situations, which reveals the disturbing and ghostly presence of the mendicants.
