  Los pueblos indígenas en aislamiento voluntario, como los Tagaeri, Taromenane y Huaorani, preservan su identidad y estilo de vida en un delicado equilibrio entre el aislamiento y las amenazas externas, quienes a pesar de la protección en la Constitución de la República del Ecuador, han enfrentado violaciones a sus derechos colectivos y en consecuencia a sus Derechos Humanos, de tal manera que la Comisión Interamericana de Derechos Humanos realizó un informe sobre el caso Tagaeri y Taromenane vs. Ecuador, donde analiza la responsabilidad del estado ecuatoriano en los hechos suscitados en entre el 2003 al 2013 en ese territorio, tales como, la creación de la Zona Intangible Tagaeri y Taromenane, la fase extractiva del proyecto de desarrollo del bloque 31, y las masacres ocurridas dentro de ese periodo.

  Indigenous peoples in voluntary isolation, such as the Tagaeri, Taromenane and Huaorani, preserve their identity and lifestyle in a delicate balance between isolation and external threats, who, despite the protection in the Constitution of the Republic of Ecuador, have faced violations of their collective rights and consequently of their Human Rights, such that the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights prepared a report on the case of Tagaeri and Taromenane vs. Ecuador, where it analyzes the responsibility of the Ecuadorian state in the events that occurred between 2003 and 2013 in that territory, such as the creation of the Tagaeri and Taromenane Intangible Zone, the extractive phase of the block 31 development project, and the massacres occurred within that period.
