Resumen de ¿Qué es filosofar? Hacia una lectura de la serie de fragmentos 2a-f del Protréptico de Aristóteles

En la serie de fragmentos 2 del Protréptico la filosofía es caracterizada como: 1) el ejercicio de investigar/indagar o demostrar (2a, 2d y 2e), 2) un saber de carácter contemplativo (2a) y 3) la ciencia rectora que nos permite saber cómo actuar correctamente (2f). La lectura de estos extractos, a la luz de los restantes fragmentos conservados, nos lleva a pensar que estas caracterizaciones pueden interpretarse como distintos aspectos de una misma concepción de la filosofía, razón por la cual no solo nos permite entender la complejidad que esta poseía en el Protréptico sino también la parcialidad que la asociación generalmente realizada entre filosofía y conocimiento teorético supone. En este trabajo nos proponemos analizar esta cuestión. Para ello, lo dividiremos en tres partes, en las que nos ocuparemos de los tres aspectos de la filosofía antes mencionados, así como de la relación existente entre ellos.

In the series of fragments 2 of the Protrepticus, philosophy is characterized as: 1) the exercise of researching/inquiring or demonstrating (2a, 2d and 2e), 2) a knowledge of contemplative character (2a) and 3) the guiding science that allows us to know how to act correctly (2f). The reading of these extracts, in the light of the remaining preserved fragments, leads us to think that these characterizations can be interpreted as different aspects of the same conception of philosophy. For this reason, it not only allows us to understand the complexity that this conception had in the Protrepticus, but also the partiality supposed by the common association between philosophy and theoretical knowledge. In this paper we propose to analyze this question. To do so, we divide it into three parts, in which we deal with the three aspects of philosophy mentioned above, as well as the relationship among them.
