    El presente artículo de revisión de la literatura (ARL) tuvo como título “Casos de éxito de Lean Manufacturing en PYMES: Una revisión de la literatura” donde se plantearon objetivos como: identificar los casos de éxito de Lean Manufacturing en PYMES durante el periodo 2018 – 2023, seguido de los objetivos específicos: identificar las principales limitantes en la aplicación de Lean Manufacturing en PYMES durante el periodo 2018 – 2023 e identificar las herramientas más comunes en la aplicación de Lean Manufacturing en PYMES durante el periodo 2018 – 2023. Ante esto, los principales resultados indican que las empresas del sector PYME tienen múltiples casos de éxito donde evidencian incrementos significativos en la productividad, mejoras en sus tiempos y gestión de sus recursos, a pesar de presentar limitantes de aplicación tales como la falta de acceso a financiamiento, falta de compromiso por parte de la gerencia y empleados y la falta de adaptabilidad de todos los involucrados. Finalmente la investigación concluye que las PYMES se ven ampliamente beneficiadas con la aplicación de las herramientas lean manufacturing y se puede constatar en los miles de casos de éxitos alrededor del mundo.

    The present literature review article (ARL) had the title "Successful cases of Lean Manufacturing in SMEs: A review of the literature" where objectives were raised such as: to identify the successful cases of Lean Manufacturing in SMEs during the 2018 period – 2023, followed by the specific objectives: identify the main limitations in the application of Lean Manufacturing in SMEs during the period 2018 – 2023 and identify the most common tools in the application of Lean Manufacturing in SMEs during the period 2018 – 2023. Given this, the main results indicate that companies in the SME sector have multiple success stories where they show significant increases in productivity, improvements in their time and management of their resources, despite presenting application limitations such as lack of access to financing, lack of commitment from management and employees and the lack of adaptability of all involved. Finally, the research concludes that SMEs benefit greatly from the application of lean manufacturing tools and it can be seen in the thousands of success stories around the world.
