    L'article proposa un breu estudi entorn la concepció del mite de Laocoont plantejada per l’escriptor albanès Ismaïl Kadaré. Tot partint d’una recerca d’arquetips de base junguiana, i amb una perspectiva fenomenològica, hom n’estudia les subtileses argumentals i simbòliques que s’articulen al voltant d’una actualització narrativa del díptic format pel cavall de Troia i Laocoont. Així com el cavall hi esdevé símbol perenne de dominació informativa, de terror arbitrari i de mentida versemblant, la figura de Laocoont s’hi erigeix com a model de supervivència moral en la recerca radical de la Veritat. Kadaré sostindria que la immersió en les conductes laocoòntiques, tant a Troia, com a l’Albània hoxhaista, constitueix un mecanisme salvífic universal davant la malignitat de l’engany que ens assetja.

    This article proposes a brief study on the conception of the myth of Laocoön by the Albanian writer Ismaïl Kadaré (1936-2024) in the novel The Monster, published in Albania in 1965. Starting from a search for Jungian archetypes, and with a phenome-nological perspective, this text studies the argumental and symbolic subtleties, which are articulated around a narrative update of the diptych formed by the Trojan horse and Laocoön. While the horse becomes a perennial symbol of informative domination, arbitrary terror and plausible lie, the figure of Laocoön emerges as a model of moral survival and commitment in the radical search for Truth. It is intended to show how Kadaré argues that immersion in Laocoön’s ducts, both in Troy and in Hoxhaist Alba-nia, constitutes a universal salvific mechanism in the face of the malignancy of decep-tion that besets us.
