    El objetivo del presente artículo es analizar la ceremonia pública de la real proclamación de Carlos III en la ciudad de Palma, capital del reino de Mallorca. Este texto se organiza en varios capítulos con el propósito de comprender dicha ceremonia que fue una de las más esplendorosa del siglo XVIII. Para ello se analiza cómo y quién las organizó, se identifican los lugares principales donde se celebraron, así como a sus protagonistas y a los principales acontecimientos. Para lograr estos propósitos se han consultado las actas del Arxiu Municipal de Palma y del Arxiu Capitular de Mallorca, además de rastrear la documentación del Arxiu del Regne de Mallorca.

    The aim of this article is to analyze the public ceremony of the royal proclamation of Charles III in the city of Palma, the capital of the Kingdom of Mallorca. This text is organized into several chapters with the purpose of understanding this ceremony, which was one of the most splendid of the 18th century. To achieve this, it examines how and by whom it was organized, as well as identifying the main locations where it took place, its key figures, and the major events. In order to accomplish these objectives, records from the Arxiu Municipal de Palma and the Arxiu Capitual de Mallorca have been consulted, in addition to tracing documentation from the Arxiu del Regne de Mallorca.
