    El objetivo fue realizar un estudio bibliométrico sobre el impacto de la tecnología financiera en la competitividad de las empresas. El enfoque de investigación fue de tipo cualitativo sustentado en un análisis bibliométrico sobre las investigaciones publicadas en la plataforma Lens del periodo 1993 al 2024.Se analizó el término tecnología financiera obteniéndose un total de 2,423 documentos. Las fuentes de mayor relevancia fueron: la revista Trabajos de Investigación en Economía, con 45 artículos publicados y 57 citas; los proyectos de investigación se han venido realizando a partir del año 1993, en el año 2016 ha existido mayor interés en este tema. Los autores con mayores aportaciones sobre el tema son Fhilly Mabel Abueta y Pablo Saiz con tres artículos respectivamente del año 2017 al año 2024; Alicia Rubio Mañón, con 60 citas registradas. Se concluye que la generación de artículos tuvo su punto más alto en el año 2018 ya que en este año la tecnología financiera impactó significativamente en las empresas, por la inversión global de las Fintech que superó los 111 mil millones, impulsada por grandes rondas de financiamiento en América del Norte, Europa y Asia, según se puntualiza en el informe KPMG.

    The objective was to carry out a bibliometric study on the impact of financial technology on the competitiveness of companies. The research approach was qualitative based on a bibliometric analysis of the research published on the Lens platform from the period 1993 to 2024. The term “financial technology” was analyzed, obtaining a total of 2,423 documents. The most relevant sources were: the magazine Trabajos de Investigación en Economía, with 45 published articles and 57 citations; the research projects have been carried out since 1993, in 2016 there has been greater interest in this topic. The authors with the greatest contributions on the topic are Fhilly Mabel Abueta and Pablo Saiz with three articles respectively from 2017 to 2024; Alicia Rubio Mañón, with 60 registered appointments. It is concluded that the generation of articles had its highest point in 2018 since in this year financial technology significantly impacted companies, due to the global investment of Fintech that exceeded 111 billion, driven by large rounds of financing in North America, Europe and Asia, as noted in the KPMG report.
