Este estudio explora cómo factores como la aparición de publicaciones culturales, la profesionalización de la crítica, la emergencia de los museos y galerías, entre otros, dieron forma a la narrativa de la historia del arte colombiano en la segunda mitad del siglo XX, haciendo hincapié en la interconexión de artistas, obras de arte, críticos y público dentro del panorama artístico en evolución. A través de una lente metahistórica se considera el concepto de nación como lugar de enunciación, destacando la compleja interacción entre arte, contexto e identidad nacional. Al examinar las perspectivas polifacéticas que presentan los textos de esta época, esta investigación subraya la importancia de evitar enfoques reduccionistas en el estudio de la historia del arte.

This study explores how factors such as the emergence of cultural publications, the professionalization of criticism, the rise of museums and galleries, among others, shaped the narrative of Colombian art history in the second half of the twentieth century, emphasizing the interconnection of artists, artworks, critics, and the public within the evolving artistic landscape. Through a metahistorical lens, it considers the concept of the nation as a site of enunciation, highlighting the complex interaction between art, context, and national identity. By examining the multifaceted perspectives presented in texts from this period, this research underscores the importance of avoiding reductionist approaches in the study of art history.
