    Los carismas en la Iglesia están en el origen de movimientos eclesiales y nuevas comunidades. Su tratamiento requiere un respeto profundo del carisma y la adecuada inserción de estas realidades en la Iglesia. La normativa canónica sobre asociaciones de fieles ha sido el instrumento más habitual para llevar a cabo esta tarea. En este artículo, después de exponer los progresos doctrinales y normativos, se afrontan las líneas de tendencia en la aplicación de esa legislación. Tanto en la praxis como en las nuevas normas aplicables a algunas asociaciones se observa una expansión de las funciones de la autoridad, limitando así los ámbitos de autonomía de las iniciativas carismáticas. Finalmente se presentan algunos límites de la normativa actual que no logra responder plenamente a las exigencias carismáticas de estas realidades. Para superarlos se presentan algunas propuestas.

    Ecclesial movements and new communities in the Church stem from charisms. Dealing with them calls for profound respect for their charism, and the appropriate framing of these new realities within the Church. Canonical norms relating to associations of the faithful have been the most common instrument for such framing. Following a presentation of developments in doctrine and legislation, this paper addresses trends in the application of such regulations. The functions of authority have been expanded through both praxis and the new norms now applicable to some associations, leading to a corresponding reduction in the autonomy enjoyed by charismatic initiatives. Finally, some limitations of the current regulations that do not fully respond to the charismatic needs of these new realities are discussed, concluding with a number of proposals intended to overcome them.
