    Este artículo, que se inserta en los estudios de la literatura contemporánea, propone una reflexión sobre la novela gráfica Madgermanes (2016) de la autora alemana Birgit Weyhe. Partiendo desde los aportes teoréticos de Chambers (1994), Said (1993), Garramuño (2015) y Belting (1987) sobre el fenómeno de la migración como símbolo de nuestros tiempos y la figura del intelectual exiliado, por un lado, y las transgresiones de las fronteras genéricas en las artes y sus implicancias para una crítica del arte, por el otro, indagaremos en diferentes aspectos de cruces de frontera de la obra. Veremos que tanto el argumento de la obra, es decir el texto, como su lenguaje visual, es decir la imagen, crean una escritura atravesada por la migración. Esta se extiende además a la biografía de la autora y al contexto de producción. Finalmente, se destacará la necesidad (y el potencial) de una crítica “no disciplinada”, “inespecífica” que, al igual que la obra, migra y se encuentra en movimiento.

    This paper, as part of the studies of contemporary literature, invites to reflections on the graphic novel Madgermanes (2016) from the German author Birgit Weyhe. Starting from the theoretical contributions of Chambers (1994), Said (1993), Garramuño (2015) and Belting (1987) on the phenomenon of migration as a symbol of our times and the figure of the intellectual in exile, on the one hand, and the transgressions of generic borders in the arts and their implications for art critique, on the other, this paper investigates different aspects of border crossings of Weyhe´s graphic novel. It will be shown that both, the plot of the work, that is to say the text, as the visual language of the work, that is to say the image, create a writing strongly influenced by migration.

    This also extends to the biography of the author as well as to the context of production. Finally, the need (as well as the potential) of an “undisciplined”, “non-specific” critique, that likewise the work is in movement and migrates, will be emphasized.
