Having identified a preparatory drawing, the author revises the attribution of a painting of the seventeenth-century Florentine school in the Roberto Longhi collection. Long attributed to Felice Ficherelli, the canvas had in the past been rightly compared by Mina Gregori to another work that was also believed to be him, but which was reattributed some time ago to Baldassare Franceschini (il Volterrano)
