    Como el Jano bifronte que tiene una cara mirando al pasado y otra mirando al futuro, analizamos el pasado, el presente e ideas para el futuro del Archivo de la Oficina Española de Patentes y Marcas, O.A. (OEPM). Un pasado ilustre heredero del mítico Real Conservatorio de Artes. Un presente activo, en materia de difusión de unos fondos de Ciencia y Tecnología aplicadas, únicos en España y de primer nivel internacional en el ámbito de la Propiedad Industrial. Un futuro esperanzador, en el contexto de la preservación digital, que permitirá a la OEPM adentrarse poco a poco, en primera fila, en el ámbito de la vida cultural española y enganchar con los gustos y los hábitos de las nuevas generaciones nacidas en un entorno cada vez más digital.

    Like the two-faced Janus that has one face looking at the past and another looking at the future, we analyze the past, the present and ideas for the future of the Archive of the Spanish Patent and Trademark Office, O.A. (SPTO). A distinguished past, heir to the mythical Royal Conservatory of Arts. An active present, in terms of dissemination of applied Science and Technology files, unique in Spain and of first international level in the field of Industrial Property. A hopeful future, in the context of digital preservation, which, will allow the SPTO to enter, little by little, at the forefront, into the field of Spanish cultural life and engage with the tastes and habits of the new generations born in an increasingly digital environment
