Empresas socialmente responsables afines al Objetivo de Desarrollo Sostenible de la ONU para el trabajo decente durante la pandemia de covid-19 en 2020

    RESUMEN La Organización de las Naciones Unidas (ONU) emitió diecisiete Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible (ODS), que entraron en vigor el primero de enero de 2016, con la finalidad de mejorar la calidad de vida de la población. El número ocho: «Trabajo decente y crecimiento económico», es objeto de esta investigación. Se eligió este objetivo ya que se pretende difundir el crecimiento económico sostenido, inclusivo y sostenible, así como el empleo pleno y productivo, y el trabajo decente para todos, lo cual implica que las personas realicen actividades productivas que les permitan obtener un ingreso justo, seguridad donde trabajan y cuenten con protección social para sus familias; además de suficientes oportunidades de desarrollo personal e integración social. Y por ello es importante que tanto mujeres como hombres tengan las mismas oportunidades en el lugar de trabajo, así como las condiciones adecuadas, tanto humanas, como económicas y sanitarias ante cualquier situación que pudiera presentarse, como lo fue la pandemia ocasionada por el Covid-19. Esa crisis sanitaria causó también un descalabro económico en México con el cierre de miles de empresas. Se hará un análisis descriptivo de tres empresas que tuvieron una importante participación social en el año 2020, así como las acciones que realizaron para apoyar a sus trabajadores y se determinará si con su actuar alcanzaron el ODS número ocho: «Trabajo decente y crecimiento económico».

    ABSTRACT The United Nations (UN) issued seventeen Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which came into force on January 1, 2016, with the aim of improving the quality of life of the population. Number eight: “Decent work and economic growth”, is the subject of this research. This objective was chosen because it aims to spread sustained, inclusive and sustainable economic growth, as well as full and productive employment, and decent work for all, which implies that people carry out productive activities that allow them to obtain a fair income, security where they work and have social protection for their families; in addition to enough opportunities for personal development and social integration. And therefore, it is important that both women and men have the same opportunities in the workplace, as well as adequate conditions, both human, economic and health-related, in the face of any situation that may arise, such as the pandemic caused by Covid-19. This health crisis also caused an economic collapse in Mexico with the closure of thousands of companies. A descriptive analysis will be made of three companies that had significant social participation in 2020, as well as the actions they carried out to support their workers and it will be determined whether their actions achieved SDG number eight: “Decent work and economic growth”.
