Between the 1930s and 1940s, several vaccines were discussed and tested in Argentina to combat tuberculosis. However, only one was legitimized by a part of Creole medicine: bcg (Bacillus Calmette Guérin) elaborated at the Pasteur Institute in France. The bcg was introduced to Argentina by the veter-inarian Andrés Arena in 1925, from that moment on it was elaborated by three institutions: the Bacteriological Laboratory of La Plata, the National Bacteri-ological Laboratory and the Institute of Physiology of Córdoba. We are inter-ested in analyzing the introduction, production, distribution and standardiza-tion of the bcg vaccine from the Instituto de Tisiología de Córdoba together with a network of national, provincial and municipal institutions between 1935 and 1941. The work is based on a qualitative methodology-quantitative based on university and provincial documentation and articles and medical theses.
