    El artículo analiza el impacto de los BRICS y su expansión en la geopolítica global. Destaca su papel como herramienta de negociación frente a potencias occidentales, promoviendo un orden multipolar y reformas en instituciones como el FMI y el Banco Mundial. Sin embargo, enfrenta retos como desigualdades internas, rivalidades entre miembros (China-India) y diferencias políticas y estratégicas. Aunque China lidera la expansión, sus intereses generan tensiones en regiones como África y América Latina. Los BRICS buscan reducir la dependencia del dólar y fomentar el comercio Sur-Sur, pero carecen de una visión común clara, afectando su cohesión. El artículo subraya la importancia de equilibrar intereses internos y globales para consolidarse como una alianza influyente.

    The article analyses the impact of the BRICS and their expansion on global geopolitics. It highlights their role as a negotiation tool against Western powers, promoting a multipolar order and reforms in institutions such as the IMF and the World Bank. However, they face challenges including internal inequalities, rivalries among members (China-India), and political and strategic differences. Although China leads the expansion, its interests create tensions in regions like Africa and Latin America. The BRICS aim to reduce reliance on the US dollar and foster South-South trade, but they lack a clear shared vision, affecting their cohesion. The article emphasises the importance of balancing internal and global interests to establish themselves as an influential alliance.
