    El 23 de octubre de 1896, el Teatro Circo, posteriormente Duque de Rivas, realiza la primera proyección cinematográfica en Córdoba. Pero el invento de los hermanos Lumière es una evolución de técnicas y medios anteriores como la linterna mágica o la fotografía. Este trabajo se remonta a estos antecedentes y proyecta los orígenes de la historia del séptimo arte en la provincia de Córdoba hasta los días de la Guerra Civil española.

    On October 23, 1896, the Teatro Circo, later Duque de Rivas, held the first film screening in Córdoba. But the Luciere brothers’ invention is an evolution of previous techniques and media such as the magic lantern or photography. This work goes back to these antecedents and projects the origins of the history of the seventh art in the province of Córdoba until the days of the Spanish Civil War.
