Pontificia. Un titulo de honor y responsabilidad

    El presente artículo surge como necesidad de redescubrir que significa la concesión en el año 1920 por el papa Benedicto XV del título de Pontificia a la Hermandad Matriz del Rocío de Almonte.

    Para ello hacemos un análisis su cinto del significado histórico y del significado actual que tiene dicha distinción. El expediente, recientemente recuperado en el Archivo Capitular de la Santa Sede y un breve pero extenso relato de la figura del papa que emitió dicho honor, S.S. Benedicto XV.

    Por tanto, concluimos que es un honor y una responsabilidad para la Hermandad Matriz de Almonte y todos sus hermanos. Redescubrir este hecho en el centenario de dicha con cesión nos permite apasionarnos con la tarea pastoral siempre vigente de ser agentes de Paz y concordia bajo el magisterio de! papa Benedicto XV.

    This article arises from the need to rediscover what is meant by the granting in 1920 by Pope Benedict XV of the title of Pontifical to the Brotherhood of the Matriz del Rocío de Almonte.

    To this end, we make a succinct analysis of the historical significance and the current meaning of this distinction. The file, recently recovered in the Chapter Archive of the Holy See and a brief but extensive account of the figure of the Pope who issued this honor, H.H. Benedict XV.

    Therefore, we conclude that it is an honor and a responsibility for the Brotherhood of the Matriz de Almonte and all its brothers. Rediscovering this fact on the centenary of this concession allows us to be passionate about the ever-present pastoral task of being agents of Peace and Concord under the magisterium of Pope Benedict XV.
