¿Se puede filosofar sobre el arte hispanoamericano, latinoamericano o mundial?

    En este breve artículo partimos de tres constataciones: el arte mundial no puede existir, por lo tanto, no existe; el arte latinoamericano puede existir, pero históricamente no ha existido; y el arte hispanoamericano puede existir e históricamente existe desde hace seis siglos. Revisamos la noción de arte hispanoamericano y nos preguntamos por sus etapas y fuentes de origen. Indagamos acerca de los principales procesos socioculturales que tuvieron que ocurrir para el surgimiento del arte hispanoamericano: el sincretismo; la hibridación; el mestizaje y la resemantización. Filosofamos acerca de varias manifestaciones del arte hispanoamericano y, finalmente, filosofamos sobre la relación entre el Barroco y el arte hispanoamericano.

    In this brief article we start from three observations: world art cannot exist; therefore, it does not exist; Latin American art can exist, but historically it has not existed; and Hispano-American art can exist and historically it has existed for six centuries. We review the notion of Hispano-American art and ask ourselves about its stages and sources of origin. We inquired about the main socio-cultural processes that had to occur for the emergence of Hispano-American art: syncretism; hybridization; miscegenation and resemantization. We philosophize about various manifestations of Hispano-American art and, finally, we philosophize about the relationship between the Baroque and Hispano-American art.
