The present work emphasizes the importance of Scientific Research and its dissemination and theanalysis of the little or no interest that undergraduate students at the Universidad Laica VICENTEROCAFUERTE de Guayaquil have in this field. To obtain these data, a quantitative, descriptiveresearch was carried out through surveys of 166 students in the second, third, fifth and sixthsemester of the undergraduate courses offered by the ULVR. We are in a technological boom whereartificial intelligence is gaining space as a source of consultation for students who, due to their age(teenagers), see AI as more attractive for most of the tasks that teachers send. They have shifted thesearch to web pages of scientific interest, scientific journals, and university repositories. The conclusion is reached that through training teachers should be prepared on the subject of researchand the training of new ICT. It is recommended that the teacher develop his class in a practical wayby applying field research and making it more attractive, eye-catching and awakening interest in hisstudents
