A mayor IAS, menor IMC.

Students’ lifestyles change, challenges arise, academic burdens, limited time and there are unhealthy food preferences that can generate physical and mental exhaustion, drowsiness and/or diseases. The objective is to analyze the relationship between Eating Habits (HA), Body Mass Index (BMI) and Satisfaction Index with Life and Food (ISVC) in 280 students, through a probabilistic, random sampling. The methodology used was hypothetical - deductive, questionnaires, reliability by Cronbach’s Alpha ( ) = 0.823. Results: index of satisfaction with life (ISV) and ISVC, has no relationship with the Healthy Eating Index (IAS) (p-value > 0.05). BMI and IAS have significant negative correlation (r = - 0.125; p-value=0.036). Correlations between BMI and ISVC do not show significant relationships (p-value > 0.05). In conclusion, the ISV is related to personal, family and social context and lifestyle assessments. The higher the IAS, the lower the BMI. BMI does not determine the ISVC, which is subjective and personal.
