In recent years, a wide range of technological monitoring and control devices have been introduced into workplaces that pose a risk to the privacy of workers by using a large amount of personal information to make decisions of great importance in development. of labor relations. Given this reality, union action tools are a key instrument to prevent artificial intelligence systems from generating abuses and endangering the dignity and rights of workers. Taking into account this context, this chapter studies the impact of digital resources on the fundamental rights of workers (right to privacy, data protection, health, equality and non-discrimination); European regulations on artificial intelligence are analyzed and the tools for union action are examined as a key instrument to avoid harming workers’ fundamental rights.
