Análisis bibliométrico de estudios sobre conflictos ambientales y paz: Tendencias y perspectivas

    Este artículo presenta un análisis bibliométrico sobre los estudios relacionados con los conflictos ambientales y la paz producidos por la comunidad científica mundial en los últimos diez años (2015-2024). El objetivo de este análisis es identificar cuáles son los aportes y vacíos de la comunidad científica en torno a estos temas. Para ello se hizo un mapeo científico de la temática de conflictos ambientales y paz, utilizando técnicas y herramientas bibliométricas, en las bases de datos Web of Science y Scopus. Se revisó la producción científica por años, autores, afiliaciones institucionales y países. Como resultado, se identificaron diversas interacciones asimétricas entre el Norte y el Sur global, y se determinó el carácter emergente de este campo de estudio, lo que permite cuestionar su alcance y destacar oportunidades y desafíos para investigaciones futuras desde el Sur.

    This article presents a bibliometric analysis of the studies on environmental conflicts and peace produced by the global scientific community in the last ten years (2015-2024). This analysis aims to identify the contributions and gaps of the scientific community regarding these topics. To do so, a scientific mapping of environmental conflicts and peace was carried out using bibliometric techniques and tools in the Web of Science and Scopus databases. Scientific production was reviewed by year, author, institutional affiliation, and country. As a result, various asymmetric interactions between the global North and South were identified, and the emerging nature of this field of study was determined, which allows us to question its scope and highlight opportunities and challenges for future research from the South.
