    El escritor jerezano José Miguel Hué y Camacho (1803-1841) fue un prolífico novelista de la época romántica que llegó a componer unas trece novelas originales, aunque la mayor parte de su producción aún permanece inédita. El presente trabajo se propone estudiar y editar la inédita novela de Los bandos de Sevilla, perteneciente a la colección de las Crónicas sevillanas. Para ello nos hemos servido del único testimonio conocido de la obra, el manuscrito M/219 de la Biblioteca Central de Jerez, que fue donado a ese centro en 2014 por el tataranieto del escritor. En el estudio introductorio hemos destacado los valores literarios de la obra y esclarecido el trasfondo ideológico de esta misma. Las notas que hemos introducido esclarecen expresiones, acontecimientos históricos aludidos y ayudan también a la comprensión del texto, a cuyo único manuscrito le faltan algunos fragmentos que hemos intentado compensar con aclaraciones

    The writer from Jerez José Miguel Hué y Camacho (1803-1841) was a prolific novelist of the Romantic period who composed around thirteen original novels, although most of his work remains unpublished. The present work aims to study and edit the unpublished novel Los bandos de Sevilla from the collection Crónicas sevillanas. For this purpose, we have used the only known testimony of the work, the manuscript M/219 of the Central Library of Jerez, which was donated to that center in 2014 by the writer’s great-great-grandson. In the introductory study, we have highlighted the literary values of the work and clarified its ideological back-ground. The footnotes we have introduced elucidate expressions, historical events alluded to, and also aid in the understanding of the text, whose sole manuscript is missing some fragments that we have attempted to compensate for with clarifica-tions
