In the current context of secondary education, digitalization and Artificial Intelligence (AI)have been adopted by students as self-training tools in a very short period of time. On the other hand, thechallenges of the 21st century highlight the need to generate knowledge in parallel to the development of transversal skills. The objective of this work is to investigate the development of transversal competencies and soft skills in secondary education, as well as the use of digital and technological resources based on artificial intelligence. A systematic review of the existing literature has been carried out on the use of generative artificial intelligences in this educational stage, as well as on the methodologies of working with soft skills and transversal competencies. The methodology defined in the PRISMA 2020 declaration has been followed. The search returned 39 articles. According to the inclusion and exclusion criteria, 8 articles have been selected for subsequent in-depth analysis. The result of this systematic review allows us to identify different lines of thought and reflections on the role played by new digital resources based on the use of AI in the teaching-learning process. In the same way, reflections and work methodologies with soft skills are identified, mostly applied to university education and focused on employability, but in a few cases it refers to pre-university students.
