This research reflects on the educational practice carried out in the context of the permanent exhibition “Dones d’Ibi/Mujeres de Ibi”, organised by the municipal Department of Social Services in the town of Ibi, whose main objective is to make visible the contribution of women to local life in all its spheres. This is a proposal that transfers pedagogical practice to the urban environment, considering public space as an educational context. Two types of actions linked to the project are analysed here: the cultural intermediation tours “Women’s Route for the history of Ibi” and the pedagogical results ofvarious educational workshops carried out in local schools. The results show the involvement of the educational community in the recovery of the historical memory of women. It is possible to encourage reflection on one’s own feminine references and the creation of new ones, using artistic-creative strategies inside and outside the classroom. Finally, this project that continues today is able to generate new local historical stories collectively
