  • Resumen
    • Our study explored the use of memes as a didactic tool in social sciences. The elaboration of memes by the students led to more fun learning, better understanding of the subjects, stimulated critical thinking, facilitated the explanation of abstract concepts, stimulated creativity, reinforced the retention of information, encouraged participation and connection with the current culture. The methodology was successfully applied in Business Administration, Economics and Law subjects, adapting to the needs of generation Z, considered “digital natives”. A total of 110 memes were received from students of different degrees, who subsequently answered an evaluation questionnaire. The methodology applied has stood out for its ability to increase engagement (according to 84 % of the students surveyed), facilitate the understanding of concepts (80 %), foster creativity (76 %), improve information retention (72 %) or connect teaching with current culture (68 %). These results suggest that the application of memes in teaching can be effective and engaging for students, providing a valuable tool for learningin the digital age.
