    En el conjunto de órdenes religiosas masculinas asentadas en la capital cordobesa se encuentran los monjes basilios que fundan su monasterio en 1590 en el barrio del Alcázar Viejo y alcanzan bastante relevancia en el siglo XVIII. Uno de los religiosos más ilustres en esta centuria es el P. D. Jerónimo Vilches Blázquez, nacido en 1702 y fallecido en 1766.

    Among the group of male religious orders settled in the capital of Córdoba are the Basilian monke, who found their monastery in 1590 in the neighborhood of Alcázar Viejo and became quite important in the eighteenth century. One of the most illustrious religious in this century is Father Jerónimo Vilches Blázquez, born in 1702 and died in 1766.
