    Management of a peniform clitoris in a puppy associated to a true hermaphroditism.

    A 3,5-month-old puppy presents a peniform clitoris associated with purulent vulvar discharge, with no other visible genital anomaly. After locating the urethra and identifying a clitoral bone through imaging, removal of the clitoris and bone is performed. Intra-abdominal gonads are removed to prevent tumor formation. Histological analysis reveals the presence of two ovotestes. The karyotype reveals the animal's genetic sex as female (78 XX). Performing histological analysis and karyotyping was not necessary for the puppy's management.

    Un chiot de 3,5 mois présente un clitoris péniforme associé à un écoulement vulvaire purulent, sans autre anomalie génitale visible. Après la localisation de l'urètre et l'identification d'un os clitoridien par l'imagerie, une ablation du clitoris et de l'os est pratiquée chirurgicalement. les gonades intra-abdominales sont retirées pour prévenir une tumorisation. Leur analyse histologique conclut à la présence de deux ovotestis. Le caryotype révèle que l'animal est de sexe génétique femelle (78 XX). La réalisation de l'analyse histologique et du caryotype n'a pas été nécessaire pour la prise en charge du chiot.
