El estudio de caso sobre dinámicas de interacción social de cafeticultores en Chiapas-México

    El objetivo de esta investigación fue identificar con quien comparten los productores de café en el estado de Chiapas, temas cotidianos y de interés propios de la actividad cafetalera. Se identifican dinámicas de interacción social del sector cafetalero, las líneas de conectividad y la ausencia de contacto entre actores de una misma región y el estado. Esta investigación se apoya en información de cafeticultores de los trece enlaces que maneja el Instituto del Café del Estado de Chiapas (INCAFECH). Se contó con el apoyo de extensionistas del INCAFECH y académicos de la Universidad Autónoma de Chiapas (UNACH) para recabar información en zonas aledañas y garantizar la muestra en los trece enlaces. Para el análisis de redes se utiliza el software UCINET edición Gephi, versión 6 y R®. Los resultados demuestran una desvinculación importante entre los productores de café en Chiapas, lo cual reduce el intercambio de saberes, conocimientos e innovaciones. Se concluye la necesidad de enfocar las políticas públicas agropecuarias en fomentar los encadenamientos, innovaciones, y acceso a la ciencia y tecnología.

    The objective of this research was to identify with whom coffee producers in the state of Chiapas share daily issues and topics of interest related to the coffee activity. We identified the dynamics of social interaction in the coffee sector, the lines of connectivity and the absence of contact between actors in the same region and the state. This research is based on information from coffee growers of the thirteen links managed by the Coffee Institute of the State of Chiapas (INCAFECH). INCAFECH extensionists and academics from the Autonomous University of Chiapas (UNACH) were used to collect information in neighboring areas and to guarantee the sample in the thirteen links. For the network analysis, the UCINET software Gephi edition, version 6 and R® were used. The results show a significant lack of links between coffee producers in Chiapas, which reduces the exchange of knowledge, know-how and innovations. The conclusion is that there is a need to focus public agricultural policies on promoting linkages, innovations, and access to science and technology.
