The aim of this research was to investigate the relationship between symbolic play and gender of children in preschool. Participants were 15 five-year-old children from a school in Biscay. The qualitative research carried out has led to identify the different manifestations of gender and to detect its impact on the development of them. It has been detected that pres-chool children have already internalized gender roles and sterotypes in this research. Speci-fically, it has been detected different manifestations of roles and stereotypes associated with specific genders and differentiated selections of corners and costumes. Taking into account the existence of the gender gap, it has been concluded taht the educational community has an important role. In this sense,educators should try to deconstruct gender roles and stereotypes through questions and/or interventions that could help reflection
Azterlan honek Haur Hezkuntzako etapan haurrek gauzatzen duten jolas sinbolikoaren eta generoaren arteko harremana ikertzea izan du helburu. Ikerketa honetako parte-hartzaileak Bizkaiko udalerri bateko ikastetxe bateko Haur Hezkuntzako bost urteko 15 haur izan dira. Gauzatutako ikerketa kualitatiboek genero-adierazpen desberdinak identifikatu eta hauek haurren garapenean izan dezaketen eragina ondorioztatu dute. Haur Hezkuntzako haurrek jada genero-rolak eta genero-estereotipoak barneratuta dituztela egiaztatu da. Esaterako, genero zehatzei lotutako rol eta estereotipo desberdinak plazaratu eta txokoen zein mozorroen aukeraketan hautaketa bereiziak eman ziren egindako behaketetan.
