Bibliotecas comunitárias, mediação cultural e literária

    The present study’s theme is the cultural and literary mediations developed in community libra-ries, since the development of these activities in these spaces promotes appreciation, knowled-ge, and the cultural strengthening of communities. Based on this, the study’s general objective is to analyze the main dimensions: dialogical, aesthetic, formative, ethical and political achieved by the community libraries of Rede Jangada Literária, in their cultural and literary mediation activities. Given what has been said, the following specific objectives are presented: to analyze the cultural and reading mediation actions that take place in community libraries; to investigate the social impact of reading and cultural mediation in communities; to identify the frequency with which these activities are carried out in community libraries; and to verify the importance of the librarian/mediator’s work in these activities. The bibliographical research explored the themes of community library; literary mediation and cultural mediation, as theoretical foun-dation. The study was qualitative in nature, exploratory in nature, through an empirical study carried out at Rede Jangada Literária. The data collection instruments used were a semi-structu-red interview with the mediator/librarian of each of the libraries that are part of the Rede and a questionnaire with library readers. Based on these guidelines, we concluded that the mediating action in library spaces has an impact on the social, cultural and educational contexts of the individual and collective lives of the people who go to these spaces, as well as reaching in their different specificities, such as the dialogic, aesthetic, formative dimensions, ethics and politics.

    O presente estudo tem como tema as mediações culturais e literárias desenvolvidas nas bibliotecas comunitárias, visto que o desenvolvimento dessas atividades nesses espaços promove a valorização, o conhecimento, e o fortalecimento cultural das comunidades. Neste contexto, o estudo tem como objetivo geral analisar as principais dimensões: dialógica, estética, formativa, ética e política alcançadas pelas bibliotecas comunitárias da Rede Jangada Literária, em suas atividades de mediação cultural e literária.  Nesta acepção, apresenta-se os seguintes objetivos específicos: analisar as ações de mediação cultural e leitora que ocorrem nas bibliotecas comunitárias; investigar o impacto social da mediação de leitura e cultural nas comunidades; identificar a frequência com que essas atividades são desenvolvidas nas bibliotecas comunitárias; e verificar a importância do trabalho do bibliotecário/mediador nas referidas atividades. A investigação bibliográfica explorou as temáticas biblioteca comunitária; mediação literária e mediação cultural, como fundamento teórico. O estudo foi de natureza qualitativa, de caráter exploratório, mediante estudo empírico realizado na Rede Jangada Literária. Foram utilizados como instrumentos de coleta de dados entrevista semiestruturada com o mediador/bibliotecário de cada uma das bibliotecas que faz parte da Rede e um questionário com leitores das bibliotecas. A partir desses direcionamentos, concluímos que, a ação mediadora nos espaços das bibliotecas tem impacto nos contextos social, cultural e educacional da vida individual e coletiva das pessoas que frequentam esses espaços, como também alcançam em suas diferentes especificidades as dimensões dialógica, estética, formativa, ética e política.
