    El objetivo de este texto es esclarecer el funcionamiento y laefectividad de las medidas que don Gutierre de Toledo tomó al respecto de la administración de los sacramentos tras su llegada a la cátedra ovetense en el último cuarto del siglo XIV. Para ello, consideramos adecuado el análisis de los sínodos y los diferentes documentos promulgados por el obispo, de vital importancia para esclarecer el asunto. Primero describiremos cómo debían de administrarse con anterioridad a 1377, para ello, contamos con confirmaciones de constituciones de obispos anteriores que mencionan, de manera explícita o implícita, la temática sacramental. Luego de este análisis, estudiaremos las medidas tomadas a tenor de la reforma pastoral y administrativa habida y la eficacia que estas tuvieron, para lo cual debemos interrogar a los posteriores sínodos

    The objective of this text is to clarify the operation and effectiveness of the measures that Don Gutierre de Toledo took regarding the administration of the sacraments after his arrival at the chair of Oviedo in the last quarter of the 14th century. We consider appropriate the analysis of the synods and the different documents promulgated by the bishop, of vital importance to clarify the matter. We will first describe how they should have been administered prior to 1377, for this, we have confirmations of constitutions of previous bishops that mention, explicitly or implicitly, the sacramental theme. After this analysis, we will study the measures taken under the pastoral and administrative reform and the effectiveness that these had, for which we must question the following synods.
