    The following paper approaches the relationship between the Spanish poet Jorge Guillén and his grandson Antonio Gilman Guillén, observed in the letters the poet sent during the years 1948 until 1962. These letters show the influence the poet had in his grandson’s upbringing, education and personal and professional development, specifically during Antonio Gilman Guillén’s childhood and teenage years, through three fundamental aspects: his Spanish legacy (the language and the literature), the trips they did together and the respect the poet felt for his grandson since a very early age

    El siguiente artículo aborda la relación entre el poeta español Jorge Guillén y su nieto Antonio Gilman Guillén estudiada a través de las cartas que el poeta le envió entre los años 1948 y 1962. Estas cartas dejan en evidencia la influencia que el poeta tuvo en la educación y desarrollo personal y profesional de su nieto, enfocándose en los años de la infancia y adolescencia de Antonio Gilman Guillén, a través de tres aspectos fundamentales: la herencia del legado español, tanto el idioma como la literatura, los viajes que realizaron juntos y la estima que le tuvo desde muy temprana edad
