  Gracias a la embajada de España y al Instituto Cervantes en Atenas, en diciembre de 2022 unaserie de investigadores españoles tuvieron la oportunidad de presentar sus proyectos en Grecia yen otros puntos del Egeo. En este artículo se presenta mi trayectoria como investigador trabajandoprincipalmente en el Mediterráneo oriental y en menor medida en el occidental, una trayectoriaque en los últimos años está vinculada a la dirección de dos proyectos que buscan plantear nuevasvías de investigación para entender mejor la interconexión económica del Mediterráneo romanoy tardoantiguo.

  Thanks to the Spanish Embassy and the Instituto Cervantes in Athens different Spanish researcherscould present in December 2022 their projects in Greece and other parts of the Aegean. In thispaper I would present part of my trajectory as scholar working not only in the Eastern, but alsoin the Central and Western Mediterranean, and underline the relevance of the two projects Iam leading for the understanding of trade and economy in an interconnected Roman and LateAntique Mediterranean.
