Las muñecas romanas de Ontur, Albacete: una intervención interdisciplinar

    El presente artículo muestra el resultado de un trabajo interdisciplinar realizado sobre un conjunto de muñecas romanas de la colección permanente del Museo de Albacete. Fueron intervenidas en los años 40 del siglo xx. Con el paso del tiempo, su estado de conservación se ha visto afectado. Por este motivo han sido restauradas recientemente. La intervención se ha planteado con los siguientes objetivos: por un lado, revisar el estado de conservación de cada una de las muñecas, documentar las intervenciones antiguas y caracterizar los materiales. Por ello en una primera fase, además de abordar el estudio histórico-arqueológico, se han aplicado diferentes técnicas de análisis y examen habituales en el estudio de los bienes culturales. Y, por otro lado, apoyándose en la información obtenida en la primera fase, realizar una actuación en conservación-restauración siguiendo los criterios actuales de intervención, para garantizar la conservación de las muñecas y mejorar su apariencia estética.

    This article shows the result of interdisciplinary work carried out on a set of Roman dolls from the permanent collection of the Museum of Albacete. They were intervened in the 1940s. Over time, their state of conservation has been affected. For this reason, they have recently been restored. The intervention had the following objectives: on the one hand, to check the state of conservation of each of the dolls, to document the old interventions and to characterize the materials. For this reason, in the first phase, in addition to the historical-archaeological study, different techniques of analysis and examination were applied that are usual in the study of cultural assets. On the other hand, based on the information obtained in the first phase, conservation-restoration work was carried out in accordance with current intervention criteria, to guarantee the conservation of the dolls and improve their aesthetic appearance.
