    En el año 2017, unos derrumbes producidos en el tramo de muralla del Barrio de San Gil de la Villa de Atienza (Guadalajara), hacen necesaria una intervención de urgencia. Tras el suceso, el Instituto de Patrimonio Cultural de España (IPCE), aprovecha la oportunidad para dar solución a los dos problemas principales que presenta este tramo: restauración integral de las fábricas existentes, debido al avanzado estado de deterioro que presentan y contextualización del tramo, que ha sido transformado por la construcción de la Carretera de Berlanga y por diferentes actuaciones urbanas, que impiden una lectura integral del conjunto.

    In 2017, some collapses occurred in the section of the wall in the SanGil neighborhood of Villa de Atienza (Guadalajara), making emergency intervention necessary.

    After the event, the Institute of Cultural Heritage of Spain (IPCE), takes advantage of the opportunity to provide a solution to the two main problems that this section presents: comprehensive restoration of the existing factories, due to the advanced state of deterioration and contextualization of the section, which have been transformed by the construction of the Berlanga Highway and by different urban actions, which prevent a comprehensive reading of the complex.
