Access Bars Therapy is a therapeutic technique, used to reduce anxiety, improve self-esteem and promote positive changes in behavior and emotions. However, the lack of solid scientific evidence is a barrier to its widespread acceptance in the field of clinical psychology. For the study, a bibliographic review was carried out and a survey was applied to 15 patients. In addition, the AHP methods of Saaty and Topsis were used to evaluate the participants' perception of their mental clarity and their emotional reactions, to make decisions regarding possible solutions. As a result, it was found that despite this technique reducing anxiety, improving self-esteem and promoting positive changes in behavior and emotions, the lack of solid scientific evidence is a significant barrier to its widespread acceptance in the field of clinical psychology. Therefore, controlled and randomized studies are required to provide a robust empirical basis. Mental health professionals should consider both the available evidence and the specific needs of their patients when deciding on its use.
