Resumen
A protocol is presented to prevent, avoid and act in situations of gender-based violence at the University of Medical Sciences of Cienfuegos. It establishes the necessary measures to identify situations of violence that occur in the university environment, either towards students or professors, investigate them, propose solutions and mitigate their consequences. It is concluded that the methodological and scientific rigor of the presented design allows offering the university community a very useful protocol for the detection, prevention and action in the alleged cases of gender-based violence and discrimination at the University of Medical Sciences of Cienfuegos; in accordance with the Comprehensive Strategy for prevention and attention to gender-based violence and violence in the family setting and the Plan for the Advancement of Women, which is implemented in Cuba.
