Consideraciones de la epistemología en la enseñanza universitaria

    La epistemología es una disciplina que se encarga de estudiar las bases, métodos y fundamentos del conocimiento científico; una disciplina que estudia el contexto histórico, social y objetivo del surgimiento del conocimiento científico, los criterios que se utilizan para decir si un saber pertenece al campo del conocimiento científico, y los conceptos de verdad, justificación, corroboración e hipótesis, entre otros. Asimismo, la epistemología también se encarga de analizar la naturaleza del conocimiento y cómo éste se logra con nociones similares como la verdad, la creencia y la justificación de las cosas que suceden a nuestro alrededor. Por lo tanto, en el ámbito universitario la epistemología es importante porque le permite al estudiante comprender como se construye el conocimiento científico y como se justifica su validez. Además, le ayudará a desarrollar sus habilidades críticas con el objeto de evaluar la calidad de información que reciben y a cuestionar las afirmaciones que se hacen en el ámbito académico. A través de este ensayo se procederá hacer un estudio sobre las consideraciones epistemológicas en la enseñanza universitaria. Para el efecto se realizó una exploración bibliográfica en cuanto a su importancia en el estudiante, profesor universitario y el conocimiento desde su entorno. Para finalizar, esto ayudará el aumento de un cúmulo de conocimientos y de la misma manera contribuirá al enriquecimiento para desplegar toda una reflexión crítica en el estudiante a través de la enseñanza en las aulas universitarias.

    Epistemology is a discipline that is responsible for studying the bases, methods and foundations of scientific knowledge; a discipline that studies the historical, social and objective context of the emergence of scientific knowledge, the criteria used to say if a piece of knowledge belongs to the field of scientific knowledge, and the concepts of truth, justification, corroboration and hypothesis, among others. Likewise, epistemology is also responsible for analyzing the nature of knowledge and how it is achieved with similar notions such as truth, belief and justification of the things that happen around us. Therefore, in the university environment, epistemology is important because it allows the student to understand how scientific knowledge is constructed and how its validity is justified. In addition, it will help you develop your critical skills in order to assess the quality of information you receive and to question the claims made in the academic field. Through this essay we will proceed to make a study on the epistemological considerations in university education. For this purpose, a bibliographical exploration was carried out regarding its importance in the student, university professor and knowledge from their environment. Finally, this will help the increase of a body of knowledge and in the same way it will contribute to the enrichment to display a whole critical reflection in the student through teaching in university classrooms.
