    En esta investigación se evaluó la eficiencia de un vermifiltro con la especie Eisenia Foetida para el tratamiento de aguas residuales de uso doméstico. El caudal fue 217 L/d. Las dimensiones del vermifiltro fueron: 1m ancho, 1m largo y 1.10m alto. La CH fue 150ml/m2.min y el TRH 5.7 días. Se analizaron muestras de agua residual sin tratamiento y muestras con tratamiento, en tres diferentes fechas, cada 7 días. Los resultados mostraron reducciones: SST de 1708 mg/L a 32 mg/L en la primera fecha, 321 mg/L a 34 mg/L en la segunda y 154 mg/L a 2.5 mg/L en la tercera fecha. NT de 13.05 mg/L a 0.32 mg/L, de 3.04 mg/L a 0.19 mg/L y 2.75 mg/L a 0.09 mg/L respectivamente. PT reducción de 1 mg/L a 0.568 mg/L, de 1 mg/L a 0.23 mg/L y 0.302 mg/L a 0.092 mg/L respectivamente. Aceites y Grasas de 72.5 mg/L a 2 mg/L, de 4.3 mg/L a 2 mg/L y 19.8 mg/L a 2 mg/L respectivamente. En DQO de 3210 mg/L a 201 mg/L, de 1110 mg/L a 101 mg/L y 434 mg/L a 84 mg/L. La DBO de 1690 mg/L a 112 mg/L, de 572 mg/L a 48 mg/L y 230 mg/L a 40 mg/L respectivamente. Coliformes Totales de 70000000 NMP a 2600000 NMP, 110000000 NMP a 540000 NMP y 47000000 NMP a 35000 NMP respectivamente. El vermifiltro con la especie Eisenia Foetida es eficiente, especialmente para reducir coliformes totales (98.57%), nitrógeno total (97.01%) y sólidos totales suspendidos (95.30%).

    In this research, the efficiency of a vermifilter with the species Eisenia Foetida for the treatment of wastewater for domestic use was evaluated. The flow was 217 L/d. The dimensions of the vermifilter were: 1m wide, 1m long and 1.10m high. HC was 150ml/m2.min and TRH 5.7 days. The vermifilter with the Eisenia Foetida species is efficient, especially to reduce total coliforms (98.57%), total nitrogen (97.01%) and total suspended solids (95.30%).
