    En este artículo se presenta la importancia del mobiliario doméstico en la Granada del siglo XVIII, tema de gran novedad por su inexistencia en la historiografía histórica. Dentro de la variedad de tipologías que lo albergan, nos centramos en la mesa, pieza básica y trascendental en el acontecer de la vida cotidiana. Con su análisis se interpreta una de las manifestaciones culturales más importantes de la historia que responde a las inquietudes de una sociedad y a los modos de vivir de los propios residentes. Su uso, configuración y disposición, así como los materiales y las técnicas empleadas para su construcción, nos hablan sobre un periodo cultural del que aún queda mucho por descubrir. Gracias al contenido que arroja la documentación de archivo podemos conocer esta tipología, como pieza inherente de la vivienda granadina del siglo XVIII.

    This article presents the importance of domestic furniture in 18th century Granada, a topic of great novelty due to its non-existence in the historical historiography. Within the great variety of typologies that house it, we focus on the table, a basic and transcendental piece in the events of daily life. With its analysis we interpret one of the most important cultural manifestations of history that responds to the concerns of a society and the ways of life of the residents themselves. Its use, configuration and layout, as well as the materials and techniques used for its construction, tell us about a cultural period of which much remains to be discovered. Thanks to the content of the archival documentation we can learn about this typology, as an inherent part of the eighteenth- century housing in Granada.
