    Los resultados que se presentan responden al Proyecto de investigación: Contextualización de la profesionalización del docente en el Preuniversitario de Ciencias Exactas, el cual, pertenece al Programa Sectorial del Ministerio de Educación en Cuba. La contextualización de la profesionalización docente reconoce la formación vocacional y orientación profesional como proceso y resultado para garantizar altos niveles de elección e ingreso de educandos a la Educación Superior. Se identifica como problema científico: ¿Cómo corroborar la atención a la formación vocacional y orientación profesional hacia las carreras de ciencias básicas y técnicas en el Preuniversitario de Ciencias Exactas Luis Urquiza Jorge? Se determina como objetivo: diagnosticar el estado del arte de la formación vocacional y orientación profesional en el Preuniversitario de Ciencias Exactas Luis Urquiza Jorge en la provincia Las Tunas. Antes de diagnosticar se hizo necesario emplear los métodos sistematización teórica y el análisis-síntesis en el estudio teórico para identificar la variable con sus dimensiones, indicadores y escala de evaluación. De nivel empírico se utiliza la encuesta a educandos, entrevista a profesores y directivos y la observación de actividades. Al triangular la información se determinan los principales resultados, limitaciones y potencialidades, que hace corroborar el problema y buscar posibles soluciones para su transformación.

    The results presented respond to the Research Project: Contextualization of the professionalization of the teacher in the Pre-University of Exact Sciences, which belongs to the Sectorial Program of the Ministry of Education in Cuba. The contextualization of teaching professionalization recognizes vocational training and professional guidance as a process and result to guarantee high levels of choice and entry of students to Higher Education. It is identified as a scientific problem: How to corroborate the attention to vocational training and professional orientation towards basic and technical science careers in the Luis Urquiza Jorge Pre-University of Exact Sciences? The objective is determined: to diagnose the state of the art of vocational training and professional guidance at the Luis Urquiza Jorge Pre-University of Exact Sciences in the province of Las Tunas. Before diagnosing, it was necessary to use the theoretical systematization and analysis-synthesis methods in the theoretical study to identify the variable with its dimensions, indicators and evaluation scale. At an empirical level, a survey of students, interviews with teachers and administrators, and observation of activities are used. By triangulating the information, the main results, limitations and potentialities are determined, which makes it possible to corroborate the problem and look for possible solutions for its transformation.
