  • Resumen
    • The magnetic field along a solenoid axis is mapped using a magnetic reed relay1 as the magnetic field sensor. The presented experimental setup can be included in laboratory practicals or used as a demonstration experiment for high school as well as undergraduate students.

Mapping the magnetic field of a coil is a standard school lab experiment. In the classic version, a magnetic field sensor based on the induction effect is usually used.2,3 Currently, increasingly accessible magnetic field sensors based on the Hall effect are also used to map the magnetic fields of coils.4 Magnetic field sensors based on other principles are also available
